Fondazione Triulza was formally established on 23 July 2013 as the consolidation of a network of Civil Society entities and organizations committed to working towards an equitable society and a sustainable human development, the protection of human rights and the natural heritage, the dissemination of a culture of peace and cooperation and the promotion of ethical and inclusive economic models.
A theme like "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life", selected for the Milan 2015 Universal Exposition and vital for the future of mankind, could not be exhaustively covered without the involvement and active participation of Civil Society and Third Sector organizations, always committed to issues like food and environmental, economic and social sustainability.
With this goal in mind, in 2012 the entities that created the Fondazione started an intensive process that resulted in “EXPlOding Energies to change the world”, a project for the management of Cascina Triulza, location of the Civil Society Pavilion during Expo Milano 2015.
With this project, on 2 October 2013 Fondazione Triulza won the public tender called by the company Expo 2015 SpA for the selection of an entity in charge of the management of Cascina Triulza during the Universal Exposition.
Another network, Exponiamoci, made up of organizations and association interested in contributing to the cultural programme of Cascina Triulza, was also created along with Fondazione Triulza.
